Valley River Brewery and Eatery
This is the first craft brewery to come into Hayesville that offers an extensive menu. You can expect to find a variety of items, with their specialty being wood fired pizza. Not in the mood for pizza? They also offer a variety of burgers, salads, homemade desserts, fresh cut fries and more!
Our recent visit to the brewery was to celebrate our ten-year old’s birthday. He had a hankering for pizza, and this was the place he chose. I can’t blame him really, their pizza is pretty amazing!
Immediately upon entering the restaurant, we were made to feel at home. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and told to have a seat anywhere.
Within no time the server was getting our drink order and was very helpful when it came to everything offered on the menu. This visit, we ended up ordering two pizzas. The boys chose the standard pepperoni with black olives, and the adults decided on the Greek pizza offered. Our server recommended switching out the red sauce on our pizza for the white and let me say that it was delicious!
Desserts are made in house
While we aren’t ones that normally order dessert, we did get one on this visit. Afterall, we were there to celebrate a birthday. We chose the chocolate orange cake and it was a hit. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we ordered one to for an upcoming celebration.
As far as the pricing goes, I find the pricing to be pretty comparable with other restaurants in the area.
FYI…the root beer made in house is AMAZING! The pizza was delicious, and thanks to our server’s recommendation we tried a combination we never would have thought to try. Also, since it was our little guy’s birthday, we did get the chocolate cake and oh my…that was a HUGE slice of cake…So big that all four of us shared it. It has a slight orange flavor that’s out of this world.
Overall we had a wonderful experience. The food and staff were fantastic, and we left with full tummies and leftovers to brings home. They currently have two locations. One is located in Hayesville, NC and one is in Murphy, NC If you’re looking for family-friendly brewery be sure to check this place out.
